If you ask Yecenia, it was Samson that kept showing up across the room at the local bars and restaurants every time she went out. But if you ask Samson, he is convinced that it was Yecenia following him. Every time they'd give a friendly wave to their work colleague and be on their way, dining and drinking separately. But eventually, after numerous run-ins, a conversation started and they bonded over good beer, the love of travel, and laid-back adventures
It was their love of travel that led them to Austin, where they planned to have few easy-going days of exploration. When Samson insisted that they make it to the top of a mountain that morning, Yecenia couldn't quite figure out why. But as they rewarded themselves with donuts after the hike on top of the mountain, Samson pulled out his phone to take a selfie, and instead of holding a donut like Yecenia, he held a ring.
They'll be married this August surrounded by loads of friends and families in a two day celebration to merge the two cultures - Mexican Catholic and Ethiopian - into one stunning wedding. Yecenia and Samson, thank you for exploring downtown Indianapolis with me and I can't wait to celebrate with you in just a short month! xx- M
